About Forstner

Originally founded in the 1920s as the Forstner Chain Corporation, Forstner and its successor Jacoby Bender (JB) produced some of the most iconic bracelets of the 20th century, such as the Komfit (chosen by astronauts and worn on the moon), the Klip (its bonklip style band paired with pilot watches), the flat link (double branded with Omega), and many more. Forstner is now dedicated to reviving such classic vintage designs.

Now Available: The 5-Link Rivet Band

We're thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Forstner lineup, the 5-Link Rivet Bracelet. Based on the mid-20th century bracelet originally made by distinguished manufacturer Gay Freres, Forstner has spent years perfecting its new 5-Link Rivet band. Forstner has faithfully preserved the original design, while making some key improvements, such as solid links, a beautiful polished/brushed finish going all the way through the end piece, 16-20mm size options, and a brand new and simplified link removal system. This one's a stunner right out of the box.

The Komfit Band

The Komfit/JB band was made to be easily adjustable, flexible, and capable of fitting just about anyone.  Strapped to the wrist one moment, it could be resized in seconds, or, in the case of emergency, removed with the flick of a finger.  As a result, NASA astronauts were permitted to wear the bracelet, and they routinely did so during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo periods.  Like the watch with which it was often worn (the Omega Speedmaster), the Komfit/JB band quickly became synonymous with the NASA space programs.
